Unlike conventional pre-strung lighting, the specialized technique developed by Alex Dixey for lighting pole tents, enables visual artist Valentine Saarmaa to create designs with great depth. It is this freedom in lantern placement that lends the magical, celestial quality unique to their designs.
After an initial discussion on design and budget, visual artist Valentine Saarmaa will consult with you on size, color, and shape of lanterns.
Pricing is based on size of tent and the number of rigging systems necessary for the quantity of lanterns requested. For a more finished look, we offer pole wrapping with fabric at an additional charge. Prices begin at $2,000.
